Welcome to Axsen Support Services. We have compiled the following support and FAQ information to help you configure your Axsen supplied email. We encourage you to review the following information to see if your issue is easily fixed.

Certified Computer Technical Support

If you experience computer problems setting up your e-mail and our FAQ information does not cover your problem, we recommend Intelligent Technical Solutions (ITS). Their rates are $120/hr. for AXSEN customers. ITS uses advanced PC-to-PC remote access – their technicians will fix your problem on your desktop. Call 702-869-3636.

Optional VIP Support for E-Mail Accounts

Axsen offers an optional support plan which provides 7am-7pm, 7 days a week (pacific time) personal service for clients who want the additional security and benefit of technical support for their E-Mail Accounts. If you subscribe to this service, whenever you experience an E-Mail Account problem, our support group is available at 702-869-3636. The cost for this valuable service is only $299/year regardless of the number of E-Mail Accounts you have! If you purchase now, Axsen will include 30 days of VIP Support for E-Mail Accounts at no charge. To add this service to your account call 866-462-9736 and press 2.

Email Setup

Axsen Email Account Set Up Instructions (Using Outlook, Eudora, or Netscape Mail)

Before getting started make sure you have the following information:

User Name: Supplied by Axsen
Password: Supplied by Axsen
POP3 Incoming mail Server: Supplied by Axsen
SMTP Outgoing Mail Server: This is supplied and supported by your Internet Service Provider (Earthlink, AT&T, etc.)

Below are directions to set up your mail account using the three most popular email programs (a.k.a. email clients).

Outlook/Outlook Express Back to top

This is the version that generally comes packaged with Windows (Outlook Express) or Microsoft Office (Outlook). Outlook Express comes bundled with Microsoft's latest browsers and is available for free download at Microsoft's website.

  1. Open Outlook
  2. In the menu go to Tools > Accounts
  3. Click on the Mail tab
  4. Click on the Add button then choose Mail
  5. For Display Name type in your name. Click the Next button.
  6. For E-mail Address type in the address input the email address given to you by Axsen. Click the Next button.
  7. On the E-mail Server Names page, make sure POP3 is selected for incoming mail.
  8. For POP3 Incoming Server, input the Axsen supplied Incoming Mail Server.
  9. For SMTP Mail Server (Outgoing):
    1. AOL Users: In the Outgoing email (SMTP) server, enter the same server name as your incoming POP3 server name. Also make sure "My server requires authentication" box is checked.
    2. All other Internet Service Providers: Leave your current ISP mail server settings as is. This is provided by your Internet Service Provider (i.e. Earthlink, AT&T, Comcast, Roadrunner, etc.) Leave your current ISP mail server as is for Outgoing (SMTP) mail. If you do not know what your outgoing SMTP server name is, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
  10. In the Internet Mail Logon page input your email account's username and password as supplied by Axsen. Note that the user name is your complete email address and the password is case sensitive. Click the Next button.
  11. Friendly Name Optional Page - For this page you can use any name for the account that you will remember. This is what the account will be called in your Outlook program. Click the Next button.
  12. On the Choose Connection Type page choose the way in which you connect to the Internet. Click the Next button.
  13. The next page should tell you that the configuration is completed. Click the Finish button.
  14. You can close the Internet Accounts window that remains open.
  15. Now that you have set up your email account you can click on the Send and Receive or New Mail button when you are connected to the Internet. Outlook will now download any mail that is in your account.

Congratulations! Your Outlook/Outlook Express email has been configured to receive Axsen email.

Eudora Back to top

Below is a step-by-step guide that will help you in getting your Eudora mail up and running. Eudora is available for free download.

  1. Within Eudora, Select Tools and then Select Options.
  2. Within the Tool Bar Category on the left side of the Box, Select Getting Started.
  3. Enter your name in the Real Name text box.
  4. Under Return Address enter your new email address that was given to you by Axsen.
  5. For Mail Server (Incoming), enter the POP3 Incoming Mail Server supplied by Axsen.
  6. Under Login Name enter your login name. This will be supplied by Axsen and is your complete email address.
  7. For SMTP Mail Server (Outgoing):
    1. AOL Users: In the Outgoing email (SMTP) server, enter the same server name as your incoming POP3 server name. Also make sure the "Allow Authentication" box is checked.
    2. All other Internet Service Providers: Leave your current ISP mail server settings as is. This is provided by your Internet Service Provider (i.e. Earthlink, AT&T, Comcast, Roadrunner, etc.) Leave your current ISP mail server as is for Outgoing (SMTP) mail. If you do not know what your outgoing SMTP server name is, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
  8. You are now ready to send and receive mail. Upon sending using the Check Mail icon, you will need to enter the Axsen supplied password in the box. Note, that your password is case sensitive.

Congratulations! Your Eudora email has been configured to receive Axsen email.

Netscape Mail Back to top

Below is a step-by-step guide to setting up your email account using Netscape Mail.

There are two ways to install Netscape Mail:

  1. The first is using a 'wizard' set up which prompts you through the first time setup. If this is your first time installing Netscape Mail follow the Install by Wizard instructions.
  2. The second is for existing users and requires updating your account information in the Preferences section. If you already use Netscape mail and need to update an account follow the Existing Mail Account Instructions.

Netscape Mail is available for free download.

Install By Wizard

  1. On the Name and Email Address screen, under Full Name enter your name and under Email Address, enter the email address given to you by Axsen. Click Next.
  2. Under the Choose a Name and Directory for your Profile, enter a name under Profile Name to identify this account. Under User Settings, preferences and bookmarks, we recommend leaving this as it is unless you are an advanced user. Click Next.
  3. Under Set up your Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), Leave this as is. This is the mail server of your Internet Service Provider (Earthlink, AT&T, Comcast, Roadrunner, etc.). If you do not know what your outgoing SMTP server name is, contact you Internet Service Provider (ISP). Click Next.
  4. Under Set Up your Incoming Mail Server, enter the Axsen supplied User Name and POP3 Incoming Mail Server in the corresponding input boxes. Make sure the POP3 is marked under Mail Server Type. Click Finish when done.
  5. You are now ready to receive mail to your account. Click on the Get Msg icon. Upon doing this, you will be prompted for a password for your email account. Input the email password supplied Axsen. Note, that your password is case sensitive. Click OK.

Existing Netscape Mail Account

  1. In your Netscape Mail Program, Click on the Edit menu, then on Preferences.
  2. Click on the Mail & Groups submenu under Category.
  3. Click the Identity submenu.
  4. Insert Your Name and the Email Address that is supplied to you by Axsen.
  5. Click on the Mail Server submenu.
  6. Leave the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) as is. The Outgoing Mail Server is provided by your Internet Service Provider (i.e. Earthlink, AT&T, Comcast, Roadrunner, etc.). If you do not know what your outgoing SMTP server name is, contact you Internet Service Provider (ISP).
  7. In the Outgoing Mail Server Name leave the default text. The Secure Socket Layering radio button should be set to Never.
  8. Click on Edit to allow you to edit your Incoming Mail Server (POP3) and input the POP3 Incoming Mail Server supplied to you by Axsen.
  9. Under the General tab input the Incoming POP3 Mail Server supplied by Axsen under Server Name. For Server Type make sure POP3 Server is selected. For User Name input the user name given to you by Axsen. Note that the user name is your complete email address. Click OK when finished.

Congratulations! Your Netscape email has been configured to receive Axsen email.
